Camden County has a wealth of public and private transportation resources, but coordinating these resources to ensure maximum access for residents can be a challenge. Now, through a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Camden County Workforce Investment Board (CCWIB) will be working with stakeholders throughout the County to develop a model for a Travel Management Coordination Center (TMCC).  This Center will provide increased access to transportation services in the County, particularly for senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and low-income residents. The Center's design will also meet requirements for Title XIX medical transportation. 

The TMCC will be developed in conjunction with the local United We Ride planning effort. It has the support of local elected officials, local and regional transportation providers, and state and local human services agencies, who will participate in an inclusive planning process to develop the Center model.  The TMCC will serve as a model for transportation coordination that can be replicated and brought to scale in other areas.
